Rockstar Games has made it official. Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI open on June 25. We've still only seen two trailers for the upcoming game. What about the third? Let's talk GTA 6.
It hasn't been made official, but all signs point to June 25 or even June 24. It seems unlikely Rockstar will open pre-orders without dropping the third trailer.

Rockstar has a long habit of tying major trailers to marketing milestones, so opening pre-orders without fresh footage would be a surprise. That logic is why most trackers, including earlier breakdowns of the Trailer 3 timeline, point to the pre-order window, with early-to-mid July as the fallback. A November launch leaves Rockstar plenty of runway either way.
Because the third trailer will likely coincide with the opening of pre-orders, I'd expect this preview to be the most expansive yet.
Reporting points to a cinematic story trailer rather than a gameplay deep-dive, fleshing out Lucia and Jason's relationship, the antagonists, and more of Leonida's tone. Expect additional neighborhoods beyond central Vice City, with a dedicated gameplay trailer more likely later in the summer or early fall. It would also build on what Rockstar has signaled it is changing from GTA 5.

Pricing is the big unknown, with persistent rumors that GTA VI could become the first $100 standard-edition game as Take-Two keeps declining to commit to a number. The June 18 drop also included a new screenshot and the game's main theme, signaling that the full marketing push is underway. Those price leaks are worth weighing carefully before pre-orders open.

GTA VI is set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, a date Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has reaffirmed repeatedly after two delays. A PC version has not been dated, with rumors pointing to early 2027. The hype is backed by numbers, too, with sales projections pointing to a record no game has reached.
