Introducing Wiz Workflows: Your path to building a self healing cloud
Guy Mast, Bandhna Bedi · 2026-03-26 · via Wiz Blog | RSS feed

AI isn’t just helping developers write code: it’s reshaping the entire development lifecycle. With AI-assisted tools, agents, and MCP integrations speeding up development, the cloud footprint behind every application is growing and diversifying fast, making cloud security more critical than ever.

Since our early days, Wiz has focused on helping teams turn security insight into action - prioritizing the most critical threats, providing the context needed to understand them, and sharing recommended actions with the development teams responsible for fixing them, directly in the tools where they work.

But in today’s fast-moving, AI-driven cloud environments, security teams need a way to turn that context and guidance into repeatable, end-to-end processes that scale with the pace of AI-enabled development. Wiz Workflows provides a unified place to define and customize these everyday operational processes. By combining multi-step automation with WIN integrations, and the flexibility to leverage embedded Wiz AI agents, teams can streamline how work gets done, accelerate decision-making, and resolve risk end-to-end directly within Wiz.

As AI becomes central to the developer lifecycle and cloud operations, security must evolve from insight to execution. Wiz Workflows is the control plane to orchestrate deterministic and agentic processes powered by Wiz agents while amplifying the power of our open ecosystem and 250+ integrations.

Oron Noah, VP Product Extensibility and Partnerships, Wiz

Automate Operational Processes with Cloud-Native Context

Security processes aren’t a single action: they’re a set of repeatable processes that teams execute every day. From triaging Issues and investigating risk to routing ownership, managing approvals, and enforcing security hygiene, these processes often span multiple tools and teams. Even when automation exists, it often lives outside the cloud environment, relying on stitched API data and static logic that lack a true understanding of how cloud resources are connected.

Wiz Workflows combines the flexible drag-and-drop architecture of an orchestration platform with the context and focus of Wiz. It serves as a centralized control plane for operational security processes, where teams can coordinate interactions across Wiz, external systems, integrations, and Wiz AI agents, within customizable, multi-step workflows.

By leveraging Security Graph intelligence including resource tags, Code-to-Cloud ownership, Projects, Service Catalog mappings, and CMDB data, Workflows automatically identifies the right owners and routes Issues, Threats, or Posture Issues with the context needed to act. Teams can chain triggers, conditional logic, approvals, notifications, rescans, and remediation into a single process. This unified hub enables seamless orchestration across systems, sending enriched data to existing tools, triggering downstream processes, and integrating with broader automation platforms, all while keeping execution centralized in Wiz.

Scaling Remediation with Agents in Workflows

To help teams get started quickly, Wiz Workflows includes a Workflows Catalog with ready-to-use templates for common security and cloud automation scenarios. These templates provide a starting point for automating investigation, response, and other operational Workflows, and can be customized to fit your environment.

From there, teams can adapt Workflows to meet their needs from structured response playbooks, to human-in-the-loop approvals, to agent-guided operations powered by Wiz AI agents and assistants.

  • Multi-Step Workflows: For use cases where teams want consistent, predefined processes with predictable outcomes. For example, whenever an exposed S3 bucket Issue is detected, a Workflow could notify the data team in Slack and create a Jira ticket for the resource owner to respond.

  • Human-in-the-Loop Workflows with agents: For use cases where teams want to accelerate decision making with Wiz AI intelligence. For example, depending on the Blue Agent’s verdict and confidence level, a Workflow could auto-escalate a Threat or send a Mika AI summary to SecOps for review.

  • Agent-Led Workflows: For use cases where teams want to drive end-to-end automation, such as remediating low-risk hygiene issues like an outdated OS version, a Workflow can leverage Wiz Agents to automate the process fully.

With these agents, Workflows can autonomously carry a security or operational process from detection through investigation, planning, execution, and verification -- without security teams needing to manually stitch together cloud context or follow up.
