In celebration of Wiz's three-year anniversary, it's finally time to unveil the full story of Wiz Socks.

These aren't just ordinary socks, but the secret weapon of cloud security superheroes like CISOs, DevOps engineers, cloud architects, and others. With their incredible power and unparalleled style, these socks have kept cloud environments safe since the dawn of time.

The Big Bang

It all began with the Big Bang, that fateful moment when the universe exploded into existence. Amidst the chaos, a pair of Wiz Socks appeared, ready to take on the challenges of the new cosmos. They've been through it all: the formation of galaxies, the birth of stars, and even Log4Shell.

The Renaissance

We fast forward to the Renaissance, where the Wiz Socks found themselves in the ideal proportions of Da Vinci's conception of a software developer: reflecting security without slowing down R&D. There they were, hiding in plain sight, as the perfect symbol of balance and harmony between development teams and security teams (and fashion).

And let’s not forget about the Mona Lisa, one of the most famous paintings in the world. It is widely accepted that her mysterious smile was due to the fact that she was wearing a pair of Wiz Socks – giving her unrivaled levels of confidence and poise.

The Wiz Age

Wiz was founded in March 2020 and immediately began protecting cloud environments for organizations worldwide (one step at a time). By leveraging the 13 billion-year legacy of the socks, Wiz started giving cloud security professionals their real, long-awaited superpowers.

In the wake of the company's founding, the first-edition Wiz socks became instant classics. They featured a simple traditional blue & white design with Wiz's logo embedded on the top. Security professionals use these to keep their feet warm as they walk the extra mile to secure their cloud environments.

Our second-edition socks were released in late 2020 with Wiz stars, green and white stripes, red tips, and blue soles. We made these socks so vibrant to ensure that cloud security professionals would still find something pleasant to look at even in the most boring Zoom meetings. CTOs and CISOs quickly became fans.

This year we also introduced a special-edition Halloween sock. Wiz stars were also used as the eyes of the socks, representing how Wiz can see 100% of your cloud and detect potential misconfigurations. These socks were a hit with security professionals at all levels.

When Wiz became a unicorn in 2021 (with a $1.7 billion valuation just a year after its launch), we also produced these adorable pink socks with a unicorn riding a rocket.

And guess what? These socks won the #1 best socks award at KubeCon! We couldn't be more excited to make history in this field, too. We knew we had the best socks in the world, but we never expected to win an award for them — talk about a sock-cess!

Today, Wiz socks are the gold standard in cloud security footwear. As a secret weapon against evil threats, cloud security heroes wear them everywhere. But mostly at exhibitions, conferences, and expos. That's why we created limited-edition socks for BlackHat London and AWS Re:Invent, and the reactions were wild! Someone literally asked if they came with matching capes.
